Haven't seen one of Button's hands yet, but he has limped a few - and called a 3x in position, folding on the flop lead.

I've played one hand. Flopped a small set early, painstakingly extracting chips from a blind...showing on his river fold.

With decent position, I'm raising these here occasionally - to keep that position PF. Limping along we were presented with this 'nice' flop. I didn't want it to get checked around, so I put out a decent sized bet to define some hands. Then comes button's min...

What to do...

EDIT: For the record, I really wasn't too attached to the damn thing. Had a blind done the same, I could just as easily ditch it. From a non-PF'raising Button though...what the heck does he have?

couple of things...i don't think you bet enough.

you still have outs if you're beat...hell you could have more outs than you think if you are up against 2 pair like 78. Any 5, 6, 9 or whatever the turn is. I don't think I can fold here with an over pair and Vil only doubles it. He could have a 6 and looking for a free card.

I put his range as follows:

1 pair + OESD
Ax for top or 2nd pair
A6 for OESD + possible BD flush draw
2 pair with his connectors
Set

Just about in that order. I'd call and re-evaluate a friendly turn. You're deep enough here to do that I think.

I would flat call the min raise. I would definitely check the turn card that you later showed, and see what he does.
