Counting backwards

There was recently a post on probablilty Coefficients that I replied to before realizing that posting here I'm no longer the most or one of the most knowledgeable people on stud that I communicate with.... Thank God

Anyway, I've recently been training myself to count backwards as means to reliably know my outs and dead cards while multitabling.

Every new hand where there are 8 people dealt hands I start at 40 and count backwards untill it doesn't matter. At this point I have a nice simple fraction to determine my drawing odds for the next card. It's pretty easy once you get used to it. Does anyone (or everyone) keep track of deads this way?

Re: Counting backwards

Sounds like your bored, I just make a mental graph in my head [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and check of each coresponding card as needed. With info(all the info player, pot size, etc.) left I do my math from there.

Shouldn't you start at 42?
