First Vegas Trip - Recomendations?

My first trip to Vegas starts tomorrow (Wednesday) I'll get into tine early afternoon and stay through noon on Sunday. I have rad a lot of posts here on where too play but just want to see if anything new is going on. I'm staying at the Bellagio for a meeting which will tie up Thursday and Friday from 7am-5pm. I'mlooking for limit hold'em at low limits (1-2 through 3-6) because of my limitted bankroll but may play a little higher toward the end if I've done well and am free rolling at that point. With all that in mind... please tell me where to go (don't get an offer like that to often do you?)

For really low limits like that in a nice room, play the 2/4 or 3/6 at MGM. Juicy, fishy games, but also just a really nice room with cool things around it.

I can't recommend enough the 4-8 game at Bellagio. It can be tight during the day but at night it's a great game. The rake can kill you lower than 4-8, plus it can be difficult to play straight at something so low. Most buy in for 100, but 200 is appropriate. It's hard to lose the whole thing. Plus, considering MGM is a long walk, upping your limit may be worth it. The 3-6 at Mirage can be fun as well and is a little closer than MGM.

I'm not a limit player so I'm speaking purely from room characteristics here. If you like loud techno music the MGM's great (I do). The Mirage is more subdued but a great room. Bellagio is poker mecca.

Good luck

The Bellagio is a pretty good place to play. 4/8 is the lowest limit there and at times you get people who don't know how to play.
Walk across the street to the Aladdin or Bally's for decent $3/6 games. I like the $3/6 at the MGM Grand or the Excalibur's $2-6 spread limit.

I second Bally's 2/4. If you're good you can beat the rake easy. If you suck, you can play for hours before your buyin is gone. Very loose-passive the three times I was there last week. I heard the Paris 3/6 plays about the same, just never made it over there. To my knowledge, the only game under 2/4 is the Excalibur 1-3 spread. This is a great game as their "learn to play poker for free" students go right into this game. Kind of a far walk, but take a cab it'll cost less than $10. MGM is in that area and is a great game as well on 2/4.

Bellagio also has a free monorail to Monte Carlo that is sometimes operational. Cuts down on some exercise.

And the Monte Carlo is a fun room to play in my limited experience. they have 2-4 and good microbrews to drink while playing it.
