Re: AQ on the bubble
I would call. Your hand is too strong here, and you are facing the smaller stack. |
Re: AQ on the bubble
It may be not much better than a coin flip here, depending on how sb played before. Do you like a coin flip here? Hero's stack will be crippled if SB wins.

Re: AQ on the bubble
Anytime you call an allin with AQ it MIGHT not be better than a coin flip. However against a normal SB's range of hands here, it should be an overall favorite. |
Re: AQ on the bubble
I'd come over the top nearly every time in this situation.
The exception would be if I have only seen SB raise a pot once, possibly twice during the entire tournament (indicating that SB is incredibly tight). Against just about any short stack SB push here AQ is most likely a favorite. With the stack sizes the way they are, I don't really see how you as the BB could afford to fold given the strength of your hand. If you fold and button folds, then you would become the short stack. Even if you are in a coin flip situation, you are most likely going to have to get into a coin flip situation (or worse) in the near future if you fold this hand. You could of course hope that button calls the SB push, but I certainly wouldn't want to count on that. |
