Probably Sandia. I played a bit of $2/4 and $4/8 there last fall, but I couldn't give you any more details about the limits. Nice room of about 30 tables though.

I believe user Student from the Beginners forum is in NM; you could private message him.

And if anyone else wants to put NM info up at http://poker.wikicities.com/wiki/Casino#New_Mexico then we'll have it for future requests.

Sandia Casino has the best room in the state. 15 tables, non-smoking; the low limit games are not usually too difficult, but the $10/$20 can be pretty tight when it's mostly regulars. Recently, $20/$40 and no limit HE are being spread fairly regularly.

Isleta Casino also has a popular cardroom, though I've never played there. Reportedly less selection, though I hear the tourneys can be lucrative.

The Santa Ana Star Casino has a small cardroom and more limited selection.

The Route 66 Casino has the newest cardroom in the state - I know nothing about it.

The Inn of the Mountain Gods near Ruidoso, in Southern New Mexico, was recently renovated and has ten tables. better for $100 NL and $200 NL than limit games.

I'd recommend Sandia, and talk to the locals to branch out from there....

I live in Amarillo and make the trip to Albuquerque fairly regularly. If you have questions, just PM me. I can answer most if not all of them regarding the rooms in the area. IMO the worst, is Santa Ana. Dive. Mom and Pop. Sandia has the softest 6-12 I have ever seen and the O/8 game (4/8 w/ half kill) both there and at Route 66 is a great place to make money.

IMO the "nicest" room is Route 66, but the most popular, by far, is Sandia. PM me for other info/questions.
