I would fold, but I don't hate it.

Played several thousand SNG's months back, Moved to 2/4-5/10 NL for a while. Need to re-learn some of the basics to make sure my pushing isn't too tight or loose.

BB has 8.5x BB.

and u have 16xBB, whats the point of this push? to increase ur stack by 100?...i dont like it

Would you ever fold K7s heads up from the small blind?

I don't think so, so i don't really see an argument for folding.

Me neither .All that pushing here gains is increasing the villans calling range for later.

I don't see how your first question supports your conclusion. You aren't playing heads up. I think this is a situation where you are risking a lot to gain very little. And as another poster said you will hurt your image.

Well, I probably make this push. It seems I'm going against the grain though.

Re: Standard? 33

I'm pushing. And I prefer completing over folding here too, you'll get a lot cheap flops at 33s here.

Re: Standard? 33

Im surprised to see so many people advocating a fold. Maybe this is something I need to rethink but I push this 100% of the time. K7s is not a bad hand. Disclamer: I play the 22s I tried like 15 33s and lost them all .

Edited: just something else to think about for those saying it will hurt your image and thus decrease fe for later. Leaving him 150 more chips also decreases fe for later.

Looks fine. BB has 875 and there is no SB, right? Only BB to act? People might be thinking you are button, 875 is SB, and the 2600 stack is BB.

johnnybeef 12-25-2005 02:13 PM

Re: Standard? 33

If this is your first push, then bb is likely very tight. As such this is a +EV shove.

Re: Standard? 33

This push is fine but you already knew that so I'm not sure what the problem is. I don't hate folding either as there are only 100 chips up for grabs rather than 50 and you could use a bit extra FE when the blinds get higher (since with your stack you'll likely make level 6 or higher when the blinds become a significant portion of the total chips in play).

Moving allin is the only reasonable play, folding against basically any opponent is completely ridiculous. Everyone who is advocating to fold, this one leak is probably costing you ridiculously huge amounts of money. Folding here is SOOO SO bad its undescribable. If you continue to do that in similar situations you will never win any serious money playing sit and gos.

This baffles my mind C-dog.

1600 for 100? (Is this another stack-protecting AI vs. raising/missing and losing those raise chips?)

I guess I always tightened my hand requirements/pushing ranges with no SB. A big leak I guess from what you're saying...

Re: Standard? 33

Your opponents stack is the relevant one, not mine. Also I didnt see there was no SB, but its still an obvious push, just slightly less +EV.

Re: Standard? 33

You knew you were't pushing into the 2600 stack when you said pushing was the only option, right? Of course.

Congrats on post 6000!
