a pro\'s income

what is the average pro poker player's income? A good range would be nice.

Pros average anywhere from zero dollars (after expenses) to several hundred thousand a month.

The reason you're not getting hard and fast answers is that there aren't any. Someone who has a lifestyle that allows them to live for $12K/year is not the same as someone who requires $100K/year.

A live pro may make 2BB/hour - maybe. An internet pro can maybe do somewhat better.

It bears noting that this "better" is in big bet terms, not necessarily in dollar terms. It might well be that a soft live $10/20 or higher game offers a $/hour rate that can't be surpassed multi-tabling online.

Absolutely true. That's another factor that makes answering the OP's question very difficult.

My goal is 6K/mo. playing 6 hours a day, five days a week.

I'm currently a LONG was off.

Re: a pro\'s income

I'm technically a 'pro' now, that is, defined by drawing the majority of my income from poker. But i'm also traveling and am playing part time to help fund the trip. I don't need more than 1k a month or so. There are a lot of college aged 'pros' that make 5 or 10k a year.
