When in Vegas…

It’s your brother’s 21st birthday, and you’re planning on hitting up Sin City with a few friends after finals in December.

You’re all looking have a good time and gambool it up to enjoy the poker rate and be one with the fishes.

At night, alcohol in tow, you’ll hit the strip to squander your winnings on colorful drinks for hot girls who won’t get with you anyway.

If you want to hook up with a girl who is so hot you have no business hooking up with but it happens anyway because she is so drunk, go to Mandalay.

Added bonus- The cocktailer uniforms at Mandalay are awfully easy on the eyes.

There isn't enough info to make an intelligent decision. How much do you want to spend? Do you want to stay center strip or take a lot of cabs?

Go to Hard Rock if you want to chase tail and not have to pay for it.
Bellagio or Wynn for mid-limit action. Possibly Mirage. Bring your finest golf shirts if you don't want the staff to look down your nose at you.
Mandalay if you want to play 4/8, Flamingo or MGM if you want to play 2/4, and swim in the pool.

Hang out at the Gold Spike on Fremont street.

Just make sure you get tested afterwards.

Primarily we're going for poker (3-6 to 10-20), but we'll also probably go out at night. We're looking to spend $100-150 for hotel and walk most places from a central location.

Mainly, I'm curious what you all like and why.

Are the pools open in Dec?

Next time I go to Vegas, i will only stay at the Bellagiao or the Venetian assuming they have a cardroom by then.

I would probably also consider the Mirage. It is my understanding that the Imperial Palace has cheap rooms and pretty good poker. I have not played or stayed there.

From the Weather Channel - Avg high 60, Average Low 40. Make sure you pack your heated swim trunks to avoid shrinkage.

If you want a central location then any of the following will work. Just pick one that suits your budget out of Bellagio, Mirage, Bally's, Caesars, Paris.

Gotta recommend the mirage...

One of the best and biggest poker rooms in town, your across the street from Tangerine in Treasure Island and Pure is in Ceasars two blocks the other way.

Most likely your best bet.
