Re: standard line with a draw vs. shorty?
meh.
I don't lead this aginst 3 usually. You should call the min raise since you are never a favor and you have 0 FE. He mostly has a queen and his play stinks too. People in those spot usually think they are never a big dog therefore push without balance all the available option imo. The only hands you are favor is 53. |

He is UTG and min raise with 2 to act and short stack. I dont know. I also noticed he price himself in with a flush draw, which is a horrible case of course. |
Re: standard line with a draw vs. shorty?
Meh. Push, call. Villian is BB so you probably have a little more FE than if he were UTG, who should be coming in with a decent queent. BB could have any Q.
I agree with Rachel when she says that you don't have much FE in this game. I also agree with swolfe that this move is +EV because you do have **some** FE. But, the +EV'edness is very small in pushing. The question is which move, calling or pushing, has an higher EV. And I'm not sure there's much difference, although I'd lean toward pushing. If a spade hits the turn, he *might* be able to lay his hand down. |
Re: standard line with a draw vs. shorty?
Given UTG's stack size, the fact that you're playing 6max, and his re-raise on the flop, I think there is VERY little fold equity here.
I rarely ever see a short-stack lay down their cards after reraising here. However, like swolfe mentioned, against Qx (AQ,KQ), you're about even, so any fold equity at all puts you ahead of the game. Somewhat read dependent. I push here if: (a) villain is somewhat tight at all (b) if you know his minraises are usually on TPTK type hands Personally, I think if Villain had a set or 2-pair here, he'd probably re-raise all-in on the flop to protect against the flush draw. Given that, I like your push. |
