18bb preflop push behind limpers
 
with limpers in front, i wanted to raise 5bb, but since that was so much of my stack, i pushed. standard?

as long as you're ok with the possiblity of short stack turning over a big hand. He limps for 200 with 900 stack?

I hate this situation. I usually limp and play post-flop poker. I would love to hear why I'm wrong, as this is a real grey area for me. (The small stack limper scares me without a read.)

Your push is fine. The only real other option is to limp, which is ok, too. (And if you know someone behind you likes to put in big raises with any two when there are several limpers, limping can be a really slick way to get said person all in with a weaker hand. High variance, high expectation, and pretty damn neat when it works.)
