Flop: (2.50 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)</font>
BB bets</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: (2.25 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)</font>
BB bets</font>, Hero calls.

River: (4.25 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)</font>
BB bets</font>, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 6.25 BB

Should I have folded this hand down, maybe raised the flop for a free card, or did I play it right?

Fold preflop. I'd play postflop the same.

Fold J10o in a 6 person game with no raise??!? AWhy is that?

because it's a pretty crappy hand with 4 people to act behind you. IMO, raising it is slightly +EV from CO if you play well postflop and the guys behind you aren't particularly loose and/or aggressive. I would almost never raise it from MP though.

Because it's too weak to raise from that position. Since you can't raise, fold. One of the mantras of 6-max is never, ever open-call.

Fix the color problem by changing the option from FTR to 2+2.

I raise PF. I never open-limp in SH.

Unless you're limping some monsters too it's too obvious you have a weak hand when you limp. With the lack of observation from opponents at this level and the fact that you may never see them again, I think limping good hands to disguise your weak hands is giving up too much value. Your weak hands are probably marginally +EV at best anyway with hgue variance, whereas losing value with definite +EV hands is more than enough to eliminate any winnings there.

By open limp do you mean when you call with only the blinds involved, or just calling the BB in general? Say UTG limps and you are in button, is it bad to limp a hand like j10 there?

I almost never open limp in short-handed games, and I certainly wouldn't do so with this hand.

Post flop, I prefer a flop-raise, check behind on turn, and call on river. You'll save a SB most of the time this way.
