nuts in my stomach

5/10 NL live.....

I've got 3K in front and no one covers.

UTG is a friend of mine and a solid player.

My image is very rock like. I stacked two people in one hand and havent played many pots since then or many before that hand.

UTG makes it $40 to go, which has been the standard bring in except for a drunk manaic who likes to open for $300. (not kidding here)

MP calls, I 'm on the button and look down at 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I hesitate for a split second and very softly and smoothly push two hundred into the middle.

It folds back to my buddy, who looks disheartened, but calls. MP folds.

Flop

A 3 3 two hearts

he checks, as do I

turn 10x he bets $350 and I raise to $700

he calls....

River 2x no flush no pair

he checks, "I'm all in Kevin" I announce (he has about $1300 behind)

Thoughts???

Tex

Bet the flop, pot to 3/4 pot. Unless you normally check your monsters trying to trap, I doubt he is getting away from AK here.

Why do you spend so much time in your post justifying how others at the table view you? You're playing this hand against your buddy. I don't think he sees you as a rock despite what cards the last half hour have brought.

yeah you're right, if you're friends with someone, there's no way they could view you as a rock. lol. how the hell would you know?

the other part is obvious, sir.
