I agree that COPAG and Modiano are the best overall value for 100% plastic cards - only $14.95 for double-deck sets. The best prices you'll find on these cards can be found here ->

and free shipping!

If you mention Modiano's you almost have to mention Dal Negro's. They're very similar cards that are both better than Copags, IMO. I don't think your comments are "wrong" as all this is subjective, but vendor opinions should be taken with a grain of salt.

Most definitely worth it. When me and my poker buddies play, a normal deck gets ruined in only a couple games. Plastic cards last forever. Not only that but when people look at their cards in hold em they tend to bend normal cards - that won't happen with plastic cards.

Hi

In my opinion the copag cards are worth the money and you should consider to buy the 4 color deck.

I host a home game once a month or so. Is it worth the extra money to get a few decks of plastic cards instead of the usual bicycle?

[/ QUOTE ]

So the cards came last night. They say right on the box (like any generic product worth its salt) "Compare to Kems". Now, I couldnt pick Kems out of a police lineup... but these seem... odd. I think its the size.

When you first moved to plastics from the typical Bicycles, did you notice the size difference?

Has anybody gotten the pokerstars plastic cards? Any evaluations if so?

[/ QUOTE ]

I believe that they are plastic coated and not true plastic cards.

[/ QUOTE ]

They're Studkings... plastic, but generally comparable to Royal or those knockoffs, not KEM or Copag. Definitely a waste of 1000 FPP.

Did you get bridge size or poker size? Bridge size are 1/4" narrower than poker size.

They say Hold'em right on the box... but thats as close as it comes to saying.

Re: Plastic Cards

Poker/wide size are 3.5" x 2.5"
Bridge size are 3.5" x 2.25"

Most plastic cards come in poker and bridge sizes.

Some plastic cards (copags IMHO) are quite flimsier than paper cards which could be the issue. Its just a matter of getting used to them.

When a man (me) with 22 decks of plastic cards (soon to be 23) recommends Modiano Bike Trophy's and Dal Negro Freedom's over Copag, you should listen.

Seriously, Copag's are fine cards and they will grow on you and you'll eventually be happy you bought them.
