i was just wondering when one of you will be cashing in on the short handed internet games? even though i dont want it done, because this is where mostly all of my internet income stems from, i still believe one of you could write a complete book on the subject. i know in 2+2, magazine forum articles are written, and advanced HH,has a chapter,but
i feel there is so much to be written on this subject, and no one has done this yet. is it in the making?

I would assume (key word here...) that it's because the maket for such a book is actually pretty small. The number of people who play 6max online can't be anywhere near the number of people who play full at casinos or in home games. In addition, how many of the people who mostly play 6max would actually buy the book? Of course us 2+2ers would but if you think about how terrible it seems most 6max players play I'd dare say that many (most?) of them don't actually work on their game.

I don't want a book...everything I need is in the forum...why give it to the others?

the target market is small <10,000 copies is my uneducated guess and they are cheap

Yes the SH forums are great resources. I'm not sure if a whole book on the subject needs to be written, or if there is a broad market for the book.

That being said, I believe there does exist a reasonable market. A good idea might be to add significant sections (more detail than King Yao's and Jennifer Harmon's - Sklansky's too for that matter) to SSH for the very loose and aggressive small stakes games, and HEPFAP for the more advanced 5-6 max games.

This could be marketed for future editions, and I believe many that already own each book would buy the new edition (I would). The worst players are playing 6max online, but you can get your nose bloodied pretty quick if you don't know what you are doing. Money is there to be made for 2+2, or anyone else, that brings forward a defining piece on this subject. Maybe not as much as on other subjects, but money none the less.

I think full ring texas hold'em is pretty much dying online. Just take a look at how the full ring games compare to the short handed at any limit from 3/6 up on Party Poker. You pretty much don't see fish at the full table any longer, the only bad players left there are rocks. And it takes a long time to squeeze juice out of a rock.

I am a reluctant 6-max player. But I've got to admit, flop games really play better shorthanded.
