Should players be able or bank or rathole?
 

A discussion in another thread led me to wonder what the opinion is here. Do you feel it is OK for a player to win a big pot in NL or PL, get up with his winnings, and sit back down with the minimum buy in right away?

I'm not advocating ratholing since it makes me quite angry when I see it done. That said it certainly is not cheating if the rules allow it. Anyone who argues (or votes) otherwise is foolish.

I don't really care either way (mostly cause I don't play NL or PL), but I think it's okay. It's that player's money now, and they should be able to do whatever they want with it.

Quite possibly my biggest pet peeve in this game, man that pisses me off.

In my brief days of NL at FTP I remember there were like 15 regulars that would always buy in small, run it up, then rathole. There's no real way to regulate it though, Im not overly concerned as I dont see too many people that do it in my games anymore.

Sure there is; UB already does it. If you try to sit at a table you recently left (I'm not sure of the timeframe but its probably something like within a half hour), you must sit with the amount you had when you left.

i thought party did this too. did they stop this? i played nl like a year ago, so they might have changed this policy to let the fish play longer.
