where are the good $10/20 games?

I have to much bankroll to keep playing 5/10, but 10/20 is the only difficult level on party. I have enough to get away with 15/30, but I want to play $10/20 steadily for a few weeks so I can get used to the varience and swings before I move to 15/30. I like moving up levels slowly, i'm not as concerned about higher income as I am about not going bust or having a huge downswing. So...

Short or Full? What is your bankroll? What is your win rate at 5/10? Over how many hands?

Re: where are the good $10/20 games?

Game:
I can play short handed, but full is preferable. I've been playing 3/6 and 5/10 for so long, where the preflop edge is so valuable, that its hard for me to not play at a fulltable instead.

Wage:
Pokertacker says I win about 1 big blind per hour per table at 5/10 but thats may be too generous. Thats just the stats on the account I play most. With some rough accounting I think I earn between $20-30/hr total, if I had to guess I would say about 27 or 28.

The discrepancy?
Multitabling with 1 bb per hour per $5/10 table should be generating $40-$50 per hour or better. This sample might not be large enough (about 30k hands, new comp) and I only play 5/10 at peek hours of the night. When the fish wander away I play SNGs and multis where I make much less hourly, but more than I would make playing 5/10 at the harder hours.

Bankroll:
I'm up to about 8-9k, so by the "300 big bet" rule I should have moved up a long time ago. Without going into details, some of my savings is less liquid than the the rest and I don't really like to treat all my poker earnings as "bankroll".

The 10/20 6-max games on party are very beatable. The full games are obviously a rock garden.

Head over to the heads-up/short-handed forum, which is essentially a 6-max forum, and reading the material there you will be able to beat the 10/20 game. Also, you will probably want to start ignoring the "300 bb rule" as you move up past 10/20. I would want at least 500 for 10/20, the variance is horrific, 100BB downswings are the norm.

8-9k is very far from being "too much bankroll" for 5/10. It is enough to take a shot at 10/20, but there is certainly no reason it's too much to play 5/10. 10/20 has been a lot harder than 5/10, there is a substantial chance that your hourly earn is greater playing 5/10. Personally, I would require a $10,000 working bankroll to play 10/20 full time, but my bankroll represents the majority of my personal net worth and right now poker is my only source of income and means of survival. I find it hard to believe that 15/30 is easier than 10/20, in fact I don't believe it. And I am a player who has attempted to move from 10/20 to 15/30 several times.

The correct answer the OP's question "Where are the softest 10/20 full games?" is Pacific.

This is interesting. Maybe I'll start playing shorthanded 5/10. My shorthanded game will improve before i move up, and it will probably be the equivalent of playing a higher stake anyway.

15/30 and 20/40 tables on party in genera are softer than the 10/20 fulls.
