Interesting QQ hand. Loose image.

Ok, up until this point I have been bringing the pot in for 4xBB probably 7 out of every 10 pots. Been playing pretty aggressively, and setting the pace for the table. This gentleman has been one of two guys that have actually been trying to contest me. Calling maybe 40% of my raises with basically anything, trying to flop a pair and play til River with it--Figuring I will bet some random hand into his call down.
So my image is extremely loose/agg. at this point.

Here is the hand. What are your thoughts/suggestions on the play?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) converter

CO ($96.05)
Button ($138.70)
SB ($444.10)
BB ($81.45)
UTG ($341.80)
Hero ($225.15)

Preflop: Hero is MP with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls $2, Hero raises to $8, 1 fold, Button calls $8, SB calls $7, BB calls $6, UTG calls $6.

Flop: ($40) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $28, Button folds, SB calls $28, BB folds, UTG folds.

Turn: ($96) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $40, SB calls $40.

River: ($176) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $65, SB calls $65.

Final Pot: $306

This seems to be the perfect spot to finally get paid off on your aggressive image....

Why are you betting so small? Trying to induce a bluff?

I'd probably bet more on flop, check turn, raise small river bet/call pot on river/bet if checked to.

This way you get more money in pot with less risk. That being said, with your image, etc, not bad to bet all streets as other suggest.

Well, on Flop I bet 3/4 pot, because that is my consistancy they recognize. Turn, now that I realize I am heads up with the guy that has paid off several times with 2nd and 3rd pair--My general idea is to keep him in, and make a decent bet at the same time. River..same idea as turn pretty much.

Results tomorrow.

SB has KK.

IMO I was destined to lose money via the cards dealt and situation. I can almost guarantee that if he had 88,TT,JJ,QQ, SB pays same bets. Some situations are like a lottery ticket, and not a game of strategy--Argh.

You should've lost a lot more money here

What's your suggestion as to why the play was "horrible".

I would have bet bigger on turn and river.

Villian missed out on some chips.

If Villian is going to start calling you down with second and third pair, you should be ECSTATIC that he is also going to let you off the hook by check calling smallish bets on all streets.
