GT IV AA hands
 

These are my three AA hands from the Pokerroom GT today. My big pair play lately has had me wondering if I'm getting all I could out of them. Not so much the first hand here (I'm fairly sure he had KK or AK). But the second one the guy said he had KK, and I wonder if a smaller raise on the flop might have brought him along. The third maybe a smaller flop bet again?

Am I questioning plays I shouldn't, or might I extract more if I pushed less hard post-flop?

Seems like you did fine. This is a $1500 tournament. You can't expect to double up every time you get aces. You did well the get your preflop raises and reraises called.

I don't think it is a good idea slow playing an overpair after the flop. You could lose a big pot that way.

#1 - how did you convert the pokerroom hands? This has long been a issue for me. Can you throw up a link.

#2 - your hands:

1. I think you have no option here but to play this the way you have. With two diamonds on board and the flop caller, you need to price him out of his draws.

2. Not a scary board, unless a maniac is playing his micro pp's. I think you can get some more out of your opponents here. Showing some weakness with a call here will put pressure on him to bet out on the turn, regardless of its nature. I think some more experienced players may even drag him along to the river. I like to pop the turn.

3. This is a tough one. I think I make the exact same bet in your position. If I get raised, depending on the read, you could be in trouble. On the other hand, if it is a LAG, you may be able to get his chips if he hit his King.
I think pricing out a broadway and getting an idea of your hands strength make this the right play.

Sadly, no...I did 'em the old-fashioned way: by hand. Pasted into Word, quick find/replace.

Yeah, I think this is the one I was most questioning. If he hits I'm screwed, but if he's on a big PP nearly the whole deck is good for me. I think I was slightly concerned about chopping with AK or AQ if a 5 hit. And I'm used to people thinking it's OK to play A5 sooted for a 3x raise...guess that's not so much a $1K tourney move. I think the MP guy in this one is the person I noticed limping with AJ and calling my raise. Can't remember if that was before or after this hand. But I figured anything in the top half of the deck was potentially making someone else's hand
