Giants Assistant GM Colletti hired by Dodgers
 

Here's the story. Colletti has been counted on to negotiate all the contracts and has been very active in helping Sabean. I think its a good hire, but I'm not happy he's going to the Dodgers.

McCourt had said he wanted somebody with experience. Some big names were bandied about, but none of them seemed interested, partly, at least I assume, because the Dodgers weren't willing to pay top dollar. There was a rumor they offered Theo part-ownership interest, but frankly, I would bet it's only a rumor.

Now all they need is a manager.

And some players.
