Please tell me this was standard play. AA no read.
Cuz i've been dealt AA 2 times in my 450 hands NL25 career and been stacked for the 2nd time in a row. No read on villain.

Tell me its standard! Like in this example :
"Standard man.." Then I close the thread. |
Re: Please tell me this was standard play. AA no read.
Or even better, like in this example :
"450 hands? Pfff, what a career. Just stick to your low-limit bs if you can't handle the swing" |
Re: Please tell me this was standard play. AA no read.
yup, standard

Re: Please tell me this was standard play. AA no read.
pretty standard.....villains are raising draws on a board like that quite a bit...typically i'll play back at them as well. If you run into two pair you have outs, if they have a set it just sucks.

Re: Please tell me this was standard play. AA no read.
You have 1 pair and no reads on a relatively scary board. You are out of position, so I would raise a larger amount pre-flop. I would probably raise to $2 instead of $1.4. It's OK to take down a small pot right here.
A straight is possible on the flop, however it is unlikely. You have to ask yourself what your opponent would raise with pre-flop, call your re-raise, and raise on the flop. You can probably eliminate T8. With no read I would probably narrow it to 77, 99, JJ, QQ, KK, AhKh, or AA. A hand like QhTh might be a possibility as well. Your hoping your opponent has KK, QQ, or AhKh. You are about even money against the QhTh. You are drawing thin against the rest. I probably call the flop re-raise to see what the turn brings. If it doesn't look like it will help my opponent I go all in there. |
