handcollective.com online poker database useful or not?

Does anyone here feel that online databases that profile players are useful?

I signed up with 2 different email addresses and they havent sent me a log-in password for either email address and the webiste is up and down-down right now ..pretty damn buggy so far..

When the site was up for a few minutes I saw a stat that said they only had ~1.5M hands in their db-maybe I'm wrong but that is peanuts-I hope that is wrong. I have 4 M PS datmined hands myself.

They claim to be able to datamine PS at 70K hands a day which would be awesome..I'm looking forward to it..

Site is back up now but I still havent received my login password to investigate further

I guess I don't get it. I tried searching for my own username, but it didn't give any results. I don't think it is even remotely useful unless I can get the hand histories to import into PT. I can't be searching a website for each of my opponents while 4 tabling, and that seems to be what I am supposed to do. If I can't import to PT or if PAHUD can't interface directly, then it isn't worth my time. I don't think that working directly with PAHUD is a good idea either, because it would probably get PAHUD blacklisted. There would be no real difference at that point between PAHUD+handcollective and PE (at least by my understanding of what PE did). So basically, give us the hand histories or don't bother, IMO.

Please don't support sites that spam the forum. Especially when it's lying about asking "Is this site useful?".

Besides, from the responses so far, the answer seems to be "No."

I eventually figured out that every one of this guy's posts are spamming that link. But I stand by my assessment that it's worthless anyway.

[/ QUOTE ]I believe every single site disallows trading mined data. Of course, it's hard for them to know about simple database forwarding, and the term "illegal" is technically stronger than "Against Terms&Conditions", but this is what Taco meant.

Gotcha...I thought he meant against the law, not T&C. OK, I'm gonna stop bumping this now and let it die.....
