Re: Folding 66?

I lean towards folding here, but I call in a 1000 chip tournament.

I would probably fold here also. If I am in a later position I will probably call.

Looks like someone got knocked out a bit early, heh.

I think I call this if I'm in a later position. The fact that you don't know how many more will limp along should keep you from calling.

a) Youre an idiot, its only 30 chips and u might flop a set. U have huge implied odds, ure very very stupid folding is an awful play.
b)Bah calling is just asking for trouble..ure in bad position someone else will defenetly raise.
Im part of school B. I think both are valid and its a thing of preference

No. I folded. There was no showdown. Just wanted to check if I did the right thing or not.

Re: Folding 66?

because of the threat of a re-raise you don't call it. Calls like this can little by little eat up chips quickly.

Re: Folding 66?

I might call, but I certainly see the reasoning of folding and think it's pretty close.

Re: Folding 66?

People have pointed out that Hero is very vulnerable to a reraise behind him. Am I inferring correctly that this is to say a minraise + a caller is going to be more likely to induce a reraise from a strong hand in late position who doesn't like the crowded field? Because I'd limp UTG w/ 66 for t30 in Level 2 pretty much everytime <--- leak?

Personally I wouldn't enter a raised pot w/ a baby PP. (1) raised pots tend to be less crowded, and when you're playing for the hidden set you want a lot of other people to do the betting for you until you're ready to spring the trap (2) entering a raised pot (should) indicate some strength which might make people slightly wary of your sudden bets. A limper who calls a minraise to 30 could have pretty much anything.
