Call the river?

I hate theses situations. Villain is unremarkable up to this point, but I haven't seen too much.

5/10 (6 handed)
Hero is SB with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], folds to CO who limps, I raise, BB calls, CO calls.

Flop (3 players) (6SB): Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I bet, BB calls, CO raises, I 3-bet, BB folds, CO caps, I call.

Turn (HU) (7.5BB): 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I check, Co bets, I call.

River (HU) (9.5BB): T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check, CO bets, I .......is it close?

Doesn't seem terribly close to me without a read, but my fold to river bet is higher than most.

I don't play 5/10, but the flop cap is enough to tell me that he can beat ace-high. I'd fold it.

Some guys will cap a FD HU. If I knew that Villain was capable of capping less than the nut FD HU then the river call becomes more attractive (since many capable of capping the FD will throw one last bet on the river to take down a large pot). Buut most at 5/10, IMHO, aren't routinely capping the non-nut FD HU on the flop without also having a pair or some other strong draw (like an OESD or possibly gut).

I fold, I know a lot people go crazy with flush draws no pair but I think Qx(weak kicker)diamonds plays it like this a lot. But in general you remember the good calls you make with A high but it's a bad habit IMO.

Pretty standard fold.

Unless you think he's betting K high, no.

I check, CO bets, I .......folded and didn't think it was close.....but then I got to looking at that 10.5BB pot and thought, "Does a jackass play the non-nut [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] draw like this 10% of the time?" I dunno. Just got me thinking.

Re: My thoughts

I see jackasses capping OESD and flush draws on the flop every now and then at 5/10. But without a read I think its an easy fold.
