rack attack, any two cards?

1/3 NL, every 2 hours casino picks a random table and puts 100 dollars into its next pot and it becomes a 6/12 limit game for that round.

should i play any two cards here?
what should i call a raise cold with?

more than 8 bb in the pot to start? even if it's capped preflop by just one guy you're getting 5:1 at least. surely there will be other players too.

i'd pretty much limp with any 2 and then its math after that on calling. you are getting 10-1 odds on a limp and even 7-2 should call AA with 10-1 odds.

Re: rack attack, any two cards?

At first I was going to ignore it, but this question is nearly laughable, is it a joke?

How many hands would you NOT want to play when there are already 8 big bets in the pot BEFORE anyone gets cards? How many hands are you NOT going to want to play knowing that everyone else will be in, regardless of the number of raises preflop? Don't forget, there's a $100 to boot in the pot already.

If you're having trouble answering these questions, go back and do some VERY basic reading, because the answers SHOULD be real obvious.

There's a reason for that:

"and it becomes a 6/12 limit game for that round"

That is because the OP stated that the game becomes a 6/12 LIMIT game for this hand.

Also, as everyone has already stated, any hand here plays. If you think there is a chance that a raise (or even more so, a reraise) would cause someone to fold pre-flop, by all means . The odds will dictate that no one should fold any cards, but you never know what the fish are thinking.

Raise any two. Since you're playing, you might as well raise and possibly knock someone out. Yes, it may be correct for them to call 2 (or 3) cold with 54o since they are getting ridiculous odds but someone playing a 1/3 NL game may not think that putting $18 into the pot with 54o sounds like such a hot idea.

the idea "do anything you can to maxmize your chance of winning this pot" raise the flop with your rags too , hopefully you get a "draw" .
Pray you flop a boat or something lol
