88 facing a re-raise all-in
 

Late in a $5-rebuy (Party ~800 entries) with less than 40 left. Blinds are 4000/8000. Hero with T60000 raises to 20000 from UTG+1 with 88. All folds to BB who pushes his T106000 stack. Average stack is slightly above T50000. No reads on BB since he was new to the table...

Fold and play on with a stack of T40000 (5xBB) or call and hope for a coinflip?

You should have raised all in to begin with as you can't fold to a re-raise as you'll be left with very little chips. By raising all in your fold equity will be greater. you don't really want any action with this hand, and should be looking to pick up the blinds.

Well... With that mistake already made, is there a chance to get away from this hand? Blinds are approaching and after paying stack will be T28000. Is there a possibility to just fold and wait for a better opportunity? What hands can BB have?

As already pointed out. Open push this. When you didn't, you still have to call.

Just because you lost doesnt make it a bad push/call, stop being so results orientated.

Well... In order to NOT make this post sound like a bad beat whine, I reversed the characters. BB is in fact me and UTG+1 is Villain. I pushed his raise with JJ and was just wondering if he had any options to lay down?

Of course he flopped a set and took 3/5 of my stack but I'm not bitter about this. Two hands later I pushed 99 into his AT and lost the rest when a T hit the board. Not intended to be a bad beat post since he didn't play bad at all, just made a few small mistakes.

when u get this deep into a tourney hands like these come up all the time, and u have to err on the side of aggression--because 1st is what our goal is. he did nothing wrong other than not push his stack to begin with cause folding is horendously weak with this hand once the original bet is made. a case can be made for folding 8s utg+1--pre bet--and waiting for a better spot, yet its difficult to do--especially if its the best hand uve seen in a while.
