Quest of Champions at Palms - $250k buy-in

Sorry if this has been posted before.
I'm search-function incompetent and wasn't able to find anything.

In PokerPlayer magazine (picked up for free last night on visit to B&M) there is an ad for the Poker: Quest of Champions at the Palms in 2006 and it certainly caught my eye.

$250k buy-in...$15-million just for 1st-place.

10 ten-person shootouts. All final-table places paid.

"Live action and online satellites coming soon" it says.

The seating appears to be a bit less than random as they are trying to put some interesting rivalries at the same table.

Same table matchups:
Chris Moneymaker vs. Sam Farha
Scotty Nguyen vs. Phil Ivey
Johnny Chan vs. Erik Seidel
Amir Vahedi vs. Jennifer Harman
Doyle Brunson vs. Daniel Negrenau
Phil Hellmuth vs. Phil Laak
TJ Cloutier vs. Eli Elezra
Annie Duke vs. Howard Lederer

(just added: Tom McEvoy)

so it looks like quite a few of the big-name stars have already committed to this as best I can tell.

Anyone know anything more about this?

The magazine ad just says 'coming in 2006 to the Palms'. It doesn't even give specific dates.

Regarding the Heavyweight Poker Championship, because of a "miscommunication", it's now being held at Sam's Town. There was supposed to be something done at the Palms Labor Day weekend to hype the QoC event, but don't know if that was pulled off. A dollar says only one (at best) of these two events will actually be held.
