Party 34K, 2nd hour, about 1000 left, avg 2100. My image isnt exactly "tight", but I have only shown down AK vs short stacked QT, so maybe Im just getting good cards

Seat 10, limp-called a similar bet earlier and bet 75% of the pot when I checked the flop. I folded. I have been raising a good bit from my BB. I won a few pots uncontested, and the one I lost to him, He seems to be as aware of a 30$ PP player as I have seen.


So whats my line?? 16xBB after posting, Villan has been limping enough that my hand figures to be a pretty good favorite against his range. If I bet out a reasonable amount PF, he will most likely call.

I dont want to build a big pot OOP with AQ, but I am having a hard time checking such a strong hand. I was hoping for a few limpers, or a late position raise, so I could push or Stop and GO. No luck. Is there any good way to play this hand?

I agree that I don't want to build a pot OOP with a big stack who can think having position on me.

Check and see a flop.

Some may find this weak, but you can make a lot if someone has a weak A or Q, and if you miss, you miss, oh well.

Yeah, you have a good point. I was just worried I was getting too short to take the passive route. Its such an akward spot with 16x. Much rather have 25 or 10. blah

This is a spot where I think checking is good. I just had a similar hand in a $20 MTT when a lp player limped, but an aggressive big stack was in the big blind, so I completed the SB. I wanted to raise with 14bb, but it sucks putting so much money in when you will miss 2/3 of the time and be out of position postflop.

Push you push-monkey.

If he limped ak/aa/kk/qq then bully for him.
Otherwise take the pot or a race. There are 1000 players left.

If you want to gamble raise to T450 and play the hand oop.

Checking is weak because you probably have the best hand. I don't think its a good idea to trap or give lots of free cards when you have no idea what you opponents are holding.

Im more of a push Golden Retriever. A monkey would think through his hands much better than I normally do.

Also, I play fetch extraordinarily well, and am more well known for my ravishing good looks than intelligence.
