Playing against a calling station

I occasionally play a traditional Finnish card game called soko, which is basically no limit 5-card stud with a replace on the end, with my dad and brother. They're both huge calling stations.

Normally, if this was a full table, I'd just wait it out and then let them pay me off when I have the goods. But because we play 3-handed, I have no idea what the best way to approach this game is. Should I just resort to checking it down whenever I can, unless I have a monster, or should I just play normally, betting when I think I have the best hand and that sort of thing?

While I'm not familliar with the exact game you are playing, in general, a calling station is one who will usually always call your bets to the river and will not do much betting or raising themself.

As such, forget about bluffing, as they will call you with anything. But as a result of that, you don;t need a powerhouse hand to bet with either. You can value bet small hands in which you have a little something in which they will pay you off with a lesser hand.

Certainly, you will bet your strong hands without needing to slowplay them. But on the river you can also bet mediocre holdings also. You will get paid off often and those times where they might have a better hand than you, they will not likely raise you, if they do play like a true calling station.
