67o in LP, B&M table full o\' limpers and minraisers

Hey all:

I don't think I've posted an HH in a while. This is from a B&M tourney last night - 100 runners, $65+10 with 1 $60 rebuy. I started with 3000 chips. This hand is at 50/100 about an hour in (I've already rebought).

Preflop
I am in hijack with 67o and about 6k. Two limpers in front, UTG and UTG+1. This table has been limping and minraising thus far. I limp, and button and the blinds come along. Pot = 1200.

Flop
J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I have no heart. (cardwise, not physically)

Blinds check, UTG bets 200, UTG+1 folds.

What is my standard play here?

FWIW, I haven't picked up many reads yet except that UTG is decent/standard. My image may be fishy as I took someone's stack with an 'interesting' play with 25s out of the BB (calling a min raise from SB with 1 limper).

Fold with great alacrity. This seems pretty straightforward.

What hands that bet out are you beating? Do you really want to see a turn or river? And if you raise, you wont find out that they have a J til the turn?

I think this is a pretty clear fold.

Bog standard fold.

You are beating so few hands here, as well as setting yourself up for losing all your chips to a J, when another 6 hits the turn.

Not only could have have the Jack but he would have limped with pocket sevens, eights in this spot and has you beaten too. I'm not sure, with the fact that you don't have many reads, how you could get him off a pocket pair like that and he's not folding jacks.

Do many fold this preflop, too?

Come on Chief... alacrity... I had to look that one up. Please remember, some of us are
jus reglar folks.

Anyway, I fold preflop, but since we limped, whats wrong with a flat call of the 200 and reevaluate the turn. Hero may be able to take the pot if a heart hits or UTG may have been taking a stab at the pot and now check the turn, giving us an opportunity.

This is not what I would do, I'd fold, but I would like to know if there is another way to go here.

Bleh, thanks for the responses guys. I have not been playing much poker/mtt lately b/c of school and work and am feeling a bit rusty.

Fold preflop. Fold postflop.

I agree with this. If utg is a decent player, he'll know that this pot can usually be taken down by a single bet, given this board. by calling the flop, we can basically represent any hand we want on the turn(a jack, flush draw, maybe overs if our rep is wierd.) This is a situation where we can gather chips without risking too much, since its easy to fold if bad things happen on the turn.

Edit: you shouldn't be playing this preflop; since this is one of the better flops you'll ever see with 67o, and it still sucks.

Preflop I fold with much celerity. Stacks are not deep enough to play it.
