Turn problem

I have 99 UTG+1 in a party 15/30 game. UTG is laggy PF, he opened KJo UTG earlier. Anyways he opens and I 3-bet, it gets folded to the button who calls, i don't really know anything about him, and the SB comes along, he is bad. So there is 4 of us for 3 bets a piece.

FLOP A,2,6 two hearts

Check, check, I bet, button calls, raise, call, call, call.

TURN 7h (i have the 9 of hearts)

Check, UTG now bets... do you call or fold getting ~10:1?

I think it smacks of wishful thinking to believe that your 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] is good. Or that your pair of nines is good. That said, if I closed the action, this is debatable, and I think it might be a call. However, we have two players left to act behind us so there is no garuantee that we are only putting in 1 bet here. The avg number of bets you'll be asked to put in here is probably around 1.75. Maybe as low as 1.5 if you say you'll fold to a 3bet. I let this guy go.

Re: Turn problem

I would've folded to the flop raise with all 3 of those guys interested in a fairly dry board.

Do you all like the 3bet of 99 here? I can see 3betting a LAG when you are in LP, but UTG+1, you are opening up a can of worms with 8 players left to act.

I might consider CCPF as a possible alternative. Or fold.

I considered cold-calling, but figured if I was able to isolate I would be in great position to win the pot, which I figured was a pretty strong possibility.

I really don't think folding the flop is right getting ~19:1 with two CLEAN outs. If I didn't have the 9 of hearts in my hand I would have folded.

Against this UTG, 3-bet is standard. Actually, at the 15-30 and 20-40 tables, I have to see that the player is less than a 8% raisor before I don't 3-bet.

Way too crowded for me SGS, I'm folding the turn.

Re: Turn problem

Fold. You arent getting 10 to 1 with 2 other players left to act.

What are you drawing to? A set with 3 hearts on the board and 3 other hands? 5th nut flush against those flop cold calls?

If the blinds are tight enough and he's laggy enough 77 is going upstairs.
