Re: Another turn

a) given the stats, what do you do?
b) as a solid player, how do you procede?

Re: Another turn

a) Based on those numbers and the fact that he took a pot-sized bet and doubled it, I think you're well behind here.

b) I can't really give a general answer for what I'd do most of the time, this is completely read-dependent, stack-dependent, etc. But against most opponents at that limit I don't think I'm ahead at this point...

44/0 --> voluntarily enters pot 44% of the time and raises 0%?

If this is the case, I think you have to dump this hand...

Re: Another turn

Most likely hands I think you're against: KK, QQ, 99, 66, 33, KQd, QJd, JTd.

I doubt he'd be raising here with less than that against your PSB's, and the FD+somethingelse hands arent happening often enough to make pushing or calling +EV. Also, you have the Ad, so his range of aggression is a little narrower (and stronger)

a tough fold, but probably better than pushing.

Re: Another turn

While we all say fold, Id venture about 80% of us push here. AQ of diamonds is out of the question, but KQs isnt, but I think JTd is the one hand I dont wanna see. However, against that total range DJ mentioned, you are still a 2-1 favorite. I call.

Re: Another turn

Well, this is quite read dependant, but alot of the time people call my flop bets with overcards or top pair or any draw, and then try a minraise "bluff" on turn(or if they caught their Q). If this is one of those players, I call turn and push river everytime. This is probably what I'd do against an unknown too, so unless I had a read that said no-no, I'd keep playing this hand

44/0 has little correlation with what hand range he is minraising the turn with.

Re: Another turn

how does this player play postflop? I think there are plenty of hands villain could raise here, and most of them have a queen in them. unless this guy is very passive, I don't think you can let go of your hand here. I think we're better than 3:5 to have the best hand. I can't really decide between pushing, check-pushing, and call-check-calling all in. usually I like call-check-calling to give him a chance to bluff.

Maulik-

It was (in 50NL) and still is (100NL) rare to see a player min raise the turn with out the goods.

I would throw up in my mouth a little bit and fold.
