General question against an unknown

Both questions are regarding the 30+3 on party.

Hand 1: Aq in the bb, two limpers during level 1. (Important players in this hand both have near the starting point of 800 chips).

You check, flop comes q89 (rainbow), you bet 40 into 60. Lp calls. Turn is a 5 putting two diamonds on the board, you bet 100 into 140, lp pushes for 750 more (your covered).

Your move is? (no read, level 1)

I fold. I do not like getting all my chips in the middle at level 1 with with TPTK unless I am the agressor.

Especially with this dangerous looking flop. He could have limped with JT, KT, 88,99 or something as weak as Q9.

He called your inital flop bet and since this is a 30/3 game, I would have to think he understands that you are giving him the incorrect odds to draw to the str8.

He called you anyway so either he flopped trips, or a made str8 or he has something like QJ or KQ and is trying to push you off the pot.

I would think if he had QJ or KQ, he would have raised your bet on the flop to see where he was at instead of a smooth call.

You still have plenty of chips left, let it go.

IMHO

Maybe if hell freezes over, but as of now people at the 33s are largely clueless. Anyhow, 40 chips is cheap and the implied odds of hitting the straight are juicy.

I would have raised pre flop OOP like that with two limpers.

Checking pre flop to see a flop for cheap is/was an option also but, most of the time on that situation I'm raising pre flop.

In this case I'm folding. You don't have enough info. to say this guy is on a hand that you are ahead of right now.
He could be good and making a push like this trying to trap you with the straight or even two pair or, he could be clueless and trying to semi bluff or bluff you off of the hand.
