Clueless with 99
 

Yeah, this is a preflop question, hope it's not too elementary. Hero's been sitting about one orbit; no reads on the players. Should I cap this? Fold it?

I fold it, and without a read I also fold TT

I fold unless MP is a nutcase, then i cap.

Dont really know, but think Ill cap TT in this situation. Basicly I think it is a cap or fold situation.

I tend to take this line. With tens I would probably sometimes cap it sometimes fold it depending on my mood, this is probably not correct at all.

Hrm. OK this seems to make sense. The money I have invested in the SB isn't enough to compensate and call or cap, especially with my poor position. Does this change at all if I'm playing 10/20 or a similar game where I have 1/4 of a BB invested in the small blind instead of 1/6? (Obviously if I'm asking this question in the first place I'm not ready for 10/20, but you can ignore that. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img])

I could possibly call 2.5 there, but I think the fact is without a read we're probably crushed by one of them preflop, and at best they've both got KJ/AK, something like that where our equity jumps a bit because they're under a domination situation.
