Old Party Poker Beta Version

Here's the old version of Party Poker Beta. I saved it when the link was first put on 2+2 because I was afraid it would disappear. I'm like a packrat when it comes to keeping crap on my computer :

Do you think this will still work after it goes out of beta?

Someone who's more tech-savvy can answer this a lot better than I can...

but if normal Party and Party Beta are currently running side-by-side just fine, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

They could easily block the old beta from working with their servers.

Let's hope they're as stupid as they seem and don't figure it out.

Is there some advantage to the old client? I had two crash problems with it so I got the "new" beta client when they released it on the website.

The 1st beta still stored observed hand histories.

Yes, 2 beta builds have been released, and its likely there are other "unreleased" versions being tested by Party.

What do you mean by "stored"? That there are files you can see? With the normal client I know PT is importing observed hands but I don't know where are the actual hand histories. The only HH files I see on my hard drive are from the tables I actually play.

To clarify... in the current client and the 1st beta version... .hhf files are stored in your main Party directory, where they can be used by PT to import observed hands (note: they are deleted when you close the client). In the 2nd beta version, .hhf files are no longer written to your HD, so PT can no longer import observed hands.

I don't know how many downloads YSI will allow of the file, so if anyone wants it and it doesn't work anymore, just let me know.

Does anyone else get a much smaller selection of tables with the old beta? For example right now the old beta has about 60 tables listed under NL 50, while the new beta and the official client have around 150 tables of that game going.

Make sure you don't have "hide full tables" checked
