bet turn with low pair, and draw, after pf was capped?

I got conflicting advice on this hand, as to whether I should have bet the turn. I was new to the table, so no reads.

Hell yeahhh bet the turn. Your hand is prob stronger now than on the flop and giving a free card here is awful.

You prob couldnt have asked for a better card on the turn u may be able to check behind on the river if it gets nasty.

Let me get this straight, you bet the flop, and the best card in the deck for you hits the turn, and you check?

Did I mention that someone here agreed with it?

Actually, I think you're right now, but let me give the counter-argument:

1. This was capped pf, so someone was likely to have a higher pair.
2. For that reason, I thought it possible that a person was waiting till the turn to c/r (even if that doesn't make sense).
3. Now that I had a draw, I wanted to see the river inexpensively.
4. My head was hurting from a lack of sleep.

But you're probably right.

U cant auto think that someone is waiting to raise the turn. People cap all sorts of crap pf and u didnt have a read so play the cards. Even if someone has a higher PP you have some nice outs and a turn raise is obviously an easy call as u know.
