Keeping Records
 

I was looking for a way to keep records on my computer. I dont play online much just at the casino. I have been keeping them on paper but thought it would be nice to have one on the computer that would have graphs or something.....thanks for the info.

There's a program called Excel from a little company called Microsoft that works well for this.

I am also a B&M only player and I keep records for date, game/casino, net profit/loss, hours played and comments/notes. One row per session, the above elements in columns. You can then have another column with a formula that calculates your hourly rate, and you can also easily calculate standard deviation and stuff like that. Also, graphs are easy to generate out of Excel. There are lots of books out there if you haven't used this product much.

I enter some of my stuff into Excel. It does a good job of keeping up with the information. You can also make charts easily by using Microsoft Chart program. It is simple but it works.

Thanks guys I actually have been doing that way I just wondered if there were any other programs out there for this reason. I am familiar with the program actually use it at work all the time.

Statking from conjelco.com, it makes lots of pretty graphs, calculates your standard deviation, hourly win rate, confidence rate and you get to go visit the talking head.

I use a text file and add the numbers in my head. There are not many of them anyway.

I am going to start using pen and paper because the computer is too much work, plus I can keep better notes if I do it when I cash out. I am also prone to bouncing around on weekend nights and playing in 3 or 4 games sometimes so I like to have everything wrote down.

That and I hate MS Office.

Well, if you are an EXPOIT at Excel like me [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] it's no problem to keep track of all that stuff like hourly rate, SD, how many people you've kicked in the nuts this week [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img], etc etc etc. Excel makes some awesome graphs too, if you know what you are doing....

However, if you suck at excel, try statking. It works just fine, a friend of mine uses it and it's just fine.
