mainly just a big pot post, but i would like to know how many people favor calling the turn. i thought vs an unknown i have to reraise in a pot that big

I don't care how unknown he is. He's raising the turn against 5 opponents. He can beat one pair. Most likely he's got 87, but possibly a set or 2 pair. I don't like the turn 3-bet at all, and I'm not crazy about the river overcall.

If the 3 coldcallers on the turn are on average remotely solid players I'd fold. At the very most call, I think the re-raise is a huge mistake. So many hands that could beat you, 87, 45, any two pair (the board is low but the type of players who cold call 3 times in one hand and never raise are the same types who play 96), flsuh, set... I think the turn re-raise here is a classic example of not being able to get away from over pps when you are very likely beat.

the turn 3-bet is nuts and so is the river call

No river call of one bet in a 40bb pot is ever 'nuts'.

That said, call the first turn raise looking for the board to pair. Call the river only if it does and still expect to lose.

3-betting that turn = (thumbs down)

after all this action though, i still can't lay down that river, even though it's the biggest crying call ever

You are 100% beat on the turn by whats most likely some combo of two pair. You said you thought that in a pot this big you had to reraise vs. an unknown? Reraise why? It isnt going to make anyone fold after they called two bets cold on the turn already, and you know your behind.

I dont understand the CAP preflop. I cant see why it would be for value if u dont have a solid read on the 3betting player. U dont have position and there are so many players in this pot that most of the time u will have to spike a J to win, otherwise u will almost always be outdrawn and "I" dont think u will be able to scare the coldcallers out of this pot by representing AA or KK or am I wrong? What do you really earn by CAPing this preflopp?
