And it is even worse when you only play at a B&M because it will happen over the course of multiple sessions which just compiles the agony.

I feel your pain. I guess it is something that everyone goes through but it does suck. I am on my 2nd week of a self imposed 2 week "time out" I am hoping that reading my hand histories will shed some light on my recent struggles. Good luck to the both of us.

EVERYTHING cracked.

Over 2000 hands:

AA: got it once and lost
KK: haven't got it
QQ: 1 time, won
JJ: 6 times and lost everytime
TT: 4 times, won once
AK: 6 times, won twice, including having it folded around preflop to my raise.

The only things that are winning are the [censored] hands played from the blinds. 98o doing better than AA?

The first post didn't bother me at all. It's theraputic to get it out, to remember you're not the only one who has gone through it. Fine. Yknow something? It can get worse. He'll love those weeks/months at a time when they come around. He needs to learn to deal with it before he blows a gasket.

Not type a follow up post like the 2nd one. The 2nd one i get a visual of a kid on the floor kicking and screaming. Either take a break and intensely go over your game, get away from it, or quit. It's not worth getting THAT stressed out about. Playing poker doesn't have a great medical plan.

Rechannel your pissed energy to learn how to deal with these times. There will be many. You will have to learn sometime how to get through it. It's these times that separate the good players from the bad. Not the upswings.

Fun game, isn't it?

Take at least 2 days off.

Congratulations. You really are the unluckiest player in the world. (This is over 2000 hands, right?) The odds on this happening in a given 2000 hand stretch don't bear thinking about. Either that or you're exaggerating a little. Anyway, hang in there and good luck with what is obviously a nasty patch.

Bernie is right about it being a tantrum. I was so frustrated I had to vent. I probably should have done it over in the OOT forum where it would be lost quickly, but others may be going through the same thing and perhaps reading my complaining they would relate and not feel so bad themselves.

The next step?

As is always suggested here in the psychology forum, time off and a book review (I got SSHE for Christmas, good times!).

Actually, I was dealt AA one other time, but it was a misdeal, so I didn't count it. Other than that, those are the correct stats. It is ok, they'll balance out in the long run.
