JJ in the BB

Laggy 15/30 game

UTG is a good TAG. The AF I have on him is low, but I think that's because he's getting hit by the deck and by the lags acroos the table. He's down about 40BB over the last 15 orbits, and has won less than 25% of his showdowns.

I'm guessing his opening range UTG in a softer game is probably 8-9%. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see him have trimmed that down to 6% or so in this game.

I'm pretty sure he has recognized me as at least a competent player.

UTG Raises, all fold to me in the bb, I call.

I don't remember ever having done that before. What do you think?

I have ideas already laid out for postflop play.

TT/99 planning to make a move (check/raise) on a ragged board?

EDIT: heh, I thought this were a post where we should guess your holding, I'm going to start reading the topics.

Are you in the BB or the SB? Your title and post conflict.

If you're in the SB I don't like the PF smooth call. If you're in the BB I like it (depending on your post-flop plan).

I'm in the bb...my bad.

I was planning on bet/3 betting a raggy flop and going from there.

a flop with an overcard like a K or Q, I was thinking of a c/c, c/c, c/f line.

I wasn't real sure about a flop with an A. Given the way he was running, I was thinking of maybe, b/f.

A flop with a couple of overs, I think I can just be done with the hand.

I would advise calling pf, then c/r any flop that isn't bad (such as AKx). I think you can define your hand here, and if you get 3-bet, then just call and c/f the turn. I don't really like the c/c, c/c, c/f line at all. Gives him too many chances to beat you for free, and a chance to move you off the best hand.

So what's your line if the flop is something like:

Kxx

or

Axx

I normally prefer a bet/3bet line to a favorable flop. However, I'd like to see some discussion on which boards would be better for a c/r than for a bet/3bet line.

The flop came down T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I had no club FWIW.

Not my favorite flop, but it certainly will do.
