two JJ hands

1) Blinds 40/80. A tight solid player UTG+1 (T1500) raise 3.5BB his normal raise. Folds to me (T3000) in middle position with J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Is the stadard line to call pushing a rag flop, reraise, or fold? (I doubt its the last option)

2) 40/80 blinds. An unkown in middle position (T4000) limps I (T2500) am on the button with J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and raise to 360. Limper calls. Flop is Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Limper leads for the pot, am I raising or folding with my last ~2200 chips.

1) If he is a tight solid player his range UTG+1 is what AK JJ-AA? maybe AQ, 9's, 10's. Folding isn't horrible if you know he is aware of position but if you are gonna play, re-raising is the best option you need more info now.

2) Without a read you have to fold if he plays QK or QJ like this and many people do he isn't letting it go.

1. Raise. Folding is terrible in my opinon. Calling isnt the worst, but id rather be in the back to call, other wise you might end up with a multiway pot that got too big too fast. But again, "tight solid" isn't a very precise read to estimate his potential holdings.

2. Why wouldnt he check to you, and then check raise your "continuation bet"? Could be a range of things, maybe QJ, with his stack at those blinds, depending on how he is, could be anything really. What did he lead for? Chances are depending on the guy, i reraise and take control of the hand back.

I might be crazy on both accounts, but thats another story for another post.
