I'd fold the flop, but since you didn't, I'd fire out on the turn... fold to any raise and check/fold the river.

To those advocating a fold on flop, if I held J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], then is a call standard?

Re: JJ overpair on monotone flop

If you fold on this flop you are way too tight for PP 6-max and good LAGS will run all over you. You didnt describe this villain, but I call this flop or raise to see where I'm at. Since you just called and he checked the turn I think a 1/2-3/4 the pot bet is good, and then if he calls/raises you are obviously done.

I really dont think it matters if u have the Jh or not, i mean, what other 1card flush will pay u off?

Re: JJ overpair on monotone flop

small advantage of having the Jh means one less [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] can fall to (help) villains' hand, so your equity vs an over + lone heart (or that type of hand) goes up.

In terms of playability, however, you're abolutely right, the play of non heart JJ and heart JJ are similar.
