Fish food: or why do I suck so bad

I'm not sure I'm a different player at lower limits but my image is definetly different on this table. I'm running about 23/15/4.0 over 125 hands or so.

The preflop raiser is 18/7/1.5 and the guy who is still in on the turn is 70/3/.04

I raise the turn, looking for a free showdown.

Your hand is way too strong (and too vulnerable to overcards) not to get a raise in somewhere. The turn, when a blank comes, seems like a pretty ideal spot.

raise and cap, push all-in on the river.

touche', but this isn't GoT. I've played the asian fro master before, his biggest strength is isolating TheDude. That was quite profitable, but I suspect you were vistim of the reverse float.

I actually think folding the turn is the play here.

I imagine that the key to this line is that you figure that UTG+1 (given his stats) would probably not follow through with a turn bet without a pair here.

Then I dig. That read has to be pretty damn precise in a pot of this size, in my opinion.

Another thing to consider is that raising the turn might sometimes (not often, but sometimes) encourage UTG+1 to fold a better pair.

I definitely don't like a flop raise. I don't like simply calling the turn. So it comes down to "call flop, raise turn" and "call flop, fold turn," and the difference between the two is almost entirely read-based.

If you took MP3 out of the equation would you think the same thing? I'm curious because heads up I'd call or raise in the 15 game.

In around 8000 hands of playing like this(the stat range above) at 3/6 I'm making money on pairs(actually alot of money on them) but it doesn't mean I'm playing middiling pairs well.
