How many Kansans do we have here on OOT? I'm attending WSU but I grew up in Oskaloosa (just north of Lawrence).

I live in Olathe (part of the time), but I was born and raised in Gridley (still have a house there). Bonus points if you have ever heard of Gridley.

Wow. That is offically in the middle of no-where. It makes my hometown (Hays) look huge.

I drove through--east to west--once. It's less flat than I expected.

Once you get on the other side of the Flint Hills the Western part is quite flat. The eastern part is not as flat.

I'm from the SF bay area, but went to KU 1995-2000.

My grandparents still live in Lawrence though.

I was born in wichita. still have family in newton and goddard. one of my grandfathers lived most of his life in lyons, another died in derby. my mother grew up in coffeyville and neodesha.

and my cousin phil is the drummer in kansas.

Lived in Leoti, KS for a few years when I was young and my mom worked for a harvesting company.

Still remember going out in the spring and summer on Tornado watch duty.

I went up the drive of the Clutter house, between the tall trees, in Holcomb, on my way to california. also, my mother graduated from emporia state.
