That's really bad.
It really looks like you are beaten by trip 4s.

I don't think that button will reraise, since he was agressive the whole hand. I would make a crying call and see BB turning over AA and UTG+1 A4.

BTW, if button really had an overpair, he played it quite well.
He realized that he couldn't protect his hand on the flop (20SB pot) and waited for the turn to raise.

Never fold an overpair on the river in a huge pot just because someone raises unexpectedly. I did that once with AA because of a similar raise, and I would won a 20 bet pot or something if I had been a man and called.

Re: Is river fold correct or Wrong

mabye I'm just spewing at the river, but I would have called the bet with an overpair, even with the deadly 4 at the end. For a 1 BB call for 21 BB while your holding an overpair, I wouldn't be able to let it go.

Not reraising the turn was prob bad, though I didn't see it the first time. I wouldn't put my opponent on AA though, he could just as easily had QQ, JJ, AKo, AKs. Depends if he was a tight player or not. Reads would have helped here

To the other person who posted a hand in here...since I still am unsure of ediquite on this forum, I'm wondering if it's proper to hijack someone else's thread.

He's not hijacking. He's just teaching by example.

You have to pay 2BB to just call and there is still someone acting behind you.

The river fold is wrong.

Re: Is river fold correct or Wrong

We really need reads to make a judgement call on the turn. If he's typical, we can assume maybe 99 (3 combos), TT (3 combos), and JJ (6 combos, but a strong redraw on the river). Since he'll probably cap with a better hand, I'd just call down even with the guy stuck in the middle. Of course, if he's donktacular I'd rather 3-bet.

I don't know why nobody likes the river fold; we just figured out we're behind button about half the time. So UTG+1 needs to be check-raising less than the made trips into the pf-capper and very aggressive pf-3bettor more than 1 time in about 6.5. This gets much worse if we add in that it might be 3-bet. I don't think we beat both villains often enough to call here.

Re: Is river fold correct or Wrong

TURN: I think you could have reraised. I think Button most likely has JJ and just made an OESD to go with his overpair. I don't think he 3bet preflop with QJ so he didn't make a straight. It's possible he has TT or 99 for a set, but would he three bet those preflop? He could have AA of course. Next question: What is UTG+1 cold calling getting 6:1 odds with?

RIVER: Folding looks pretty safe, but getting 11:1 it might be worth a call. I'm more afraid of UTG+1 than the button at this point.
