Dumb rules question

Player A raises to T1000

Player B calls in MP

Player C reraises on button to T2000

PLayer A shoves rest of chips in to make it T2500

Can Player C reraise if player B calls?

Sorry, I should know this but dont.

Re: Dumb rules question

no, the allin has to be a full legal raise (minimum is the amount last raised, so in this case 1000.

Re: Dumb rules question

if it is 1/2 a bet, then it is considered a full bet. Betting is reopened. Had it been 2499, all he can do is call, but at 2500 he can reraise.

er.. you sure about this?

The raise was 1000, doesn't the next raise have to be 1000 or bigger?

Re: Dumb rules question

To get an exact answer, you better specify which rules you're talking about. I'm pretty sure one of the sites (Paradise, maybe?) didn't necessarily implement this in a standard fashion and any raise reopened the action. The standard is that any bet 1/2 legal or greater reopens the action, I believe, as others have mentioned.

This 1/2 bet rule is true of limit only I believe. In NL it has to be a full raise or you can only call and action is not reopened.

This has been covered a few times in the B&M forum.

I may be wrong. I thought it was a universal rule, but I may be wrong.
