According to recent statistics, gaming experts -- Christiansen Capital Advisors, have stated that "Internet poker worldwide generated some $1 billion in revenue last year and is expected to top $2.4 billion in 2005. Online poker was 12 percent of worldwide Internet gambling revenue in 2004 and poker's share is expected to climb to 20 percent for 2005. By 2010, online poker revenue is expected to top $6.7 billion, or 27 percent of total Internet gambling an overtaking sports betting as the chief gambling activity online. The Las Vegas Strip, by contrast, generated $5.3 billion in gambling revenue last year."
