Awkward turn

5/10 5-handed. Villain is LAG and it seems he'll call down with weak top pair hands. A few hands ago, on another table, he check/called the flop and turn with K6 against my button steal on a KxxAx board and checked the river 3-flush. I'm not really getting out of line yet.

I open in CO to 40 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and 1350 behind. Villain calls and has me covered, blinds get out of the way.

Flop T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] with 95 in the pot.

I bet 65, he calls.

Turn K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] with 225 in the pot.

Against a lot of players I fire a second barrel, especially with the outs I just picked up. I really think this guy will call the turn almost every time though. Check/calling is awful in my opinion, but maybe other people have different ideas on this?

If you have no fold equity, i dont bet turn. It sucks that you have to fold to sizable bet, but he sounds like more of a caller than bettor.

So price yourself in by betting like 125 on the turn so he can call.

That's kind of risky, although I do it sometimes. Being raised would blow super-hard. What do you think of a checkraise in this spot?

I was going to say that's what I would be inclined to do.

I was thinking c/r, but... Do you have no read on his range of hands? What is he calling you with on that flop? 88, AT, JJ? I think that to bet the turn, most players would need 2 pair or better. I don't think check/call is really that bad, and I think c/r may be spewing. If his hand is strong enough to bet the turn, then we have little if any fold equity. Pray for check/check.
