AKo 4th hand of PP 22

No real reads on the villain as it is the 4th hand in the tourney. Im not sure if hes betting a strong draw here, 2 pair, a set or (probably not) a weaker King.

I've been finding myself in these odd situations more and more. Lots of callers preflop and a decent, but scary flop.
Comments on preflop play and possible options for the flop/turn if a non-scare or a scare card comes

Very easy - have to raise this flop, big.

What would villain limp/call with that you are behind? KJ and 55 - JJ would most likely raise pf. I'm re-raising to about 200 - 250.

Re: AKo 4th hand of PP 22

How big, 150? 200? more?.
If villain pushes, easy fold?
If villain calls, and leads/pushes turn if a spade, 10, 9, or Q falls then what?
Sorry for all the questions, but I feel like hands like this are a leak in my game. Maybe its all read dependent

If villian pushes, easy call. I'd re-raise to something like 200. The turn is another matter, and would depend on my read of him if any at that point, but let's worry about the flop right now.

Pot the flop and proceed from there.

Raise more pre-flop to make it likely to be heads-up. Heads up it's an easy hand to play. AKo doesn't want many opponents.

This flop isn't too bad. There's a lot of likely draws, but not so many likely hands that actually beat you. So make it expensive for the draws.

Do KJ/55 really raise preflop?

Re: AKo 4th hand of PP 22

I agree with OP i've been in spots like this a lot lately, and bet the flop hard, get called, and then see a scare card (another spade) and feel stuck. Even if checking the turn, the river usually sees a bet by him. painful to let go, but too often any call sees 2s5s or some such.

So, from tigerite's note, if he rr over the pot+ bet, call. if he flat calls and turn brings a low spade... then what?
If villian checks?
If villian bets (there's 685 in pot by now if flop bet was 200, and villian's got 370 left to Hero's 535 or so)

From my memory I always end up allin and lose and hate slick. Of course, I probably don't remmeber the times he folds or I get him drawing and nothing comes.

I personally remember a lot of times Kh9h pushes into me here...I play this hand very aggressively with this flop.
