First time I was the table coach

This is in a $10 Paradise MTT. I'm in the top 30 in chips, 108 left, top 30 pay.

What do you think of the pf calls? I called first since there were 2 opponents and one had a big stack. I think I had implied odds to hit my set. The second was a small reraise, and with an all in player, I figured it makes it even easier to play post flop since it's a dry pot.

Ok, here UTG turns over QJ and the all in player turns over AK. This is the first time I've ever critized anyone's play in chat, but I couldn't help it.

Hero: Way to bluff at a dry pot moron

What do you think?

Edited to inlude button's play, converter didn't put it in.

He min bet on the flop. You gave up pretty easily, I guess you figured you didnt have the best hand. If you really cared why didn't you call a min bet.

I just edited it to include the button's actions. He went all in pf. I figured any bet meant I was beat, since I didn't think anyone would bluff at a dry pot.

I've seen someone bluff buy from me more than enough times into a dry pot. It might be dirty, but he got you, the best hand to fold. Although his "plan" backfired when his hand couldn't beat the all-in hand. Yes it's a dirty play, and sometimes an annoying play, but is it really his fault you folded? Personally I would have folded as well, but I'm not sure if I would have berated him for his play.......i've seen many more annoying plays.

If he did it with ace high, I wouldn't have minded it as much. But he had to know QJ needed help to bust this guy.

There's 2229 in this pot and you fold for 400? Unless you have a great read on this player and you KNOW(not likely) he would only bet with a hand you must call. The better move here is to raise and see where you're at.

FWIW, you dont have the implied odds to play for a set.

Re: First time I was the table coach

Doesn't the 5/10 rule apply here. It was 400 to me, and the original raiser had over 4K, the other guy 2K. The reraise was 343 more, so according to the 5/10 rule, it's still ok to call, though I seemed to have overestimated my post flop ability.

? UTG's stack is what? this is less than 10% of his stack WITH a cold caller.

I also don't see how you can put UTG on an overpair or AT/KT so easily. If he made a real bet I would fold.

Actually I think the best play is to push here to try to win UTG's donkbet dead money and you probably have the best hand against the shorty since the flop was pretty much all low cards.

did u make a mistake by chance and mean this was on UB,
b/c I think I was the all-in AKer and I was so haappppy that you folded...
