2+2 publishing publish poker books. That is there "job"

Pres Bush is a professional politician. An important skill of the professional politician is oratory.

So we can conclude hes crap at that.

C'mon man. If you're going to criticism someone's communication skills in less than 40 words, try to make less than three typos in the process.

"Me fail english? That's unpossible!"

Chuck, You\'re Post Is A Lie

[ QUOTE ]
At the signing of $417 billion defense bill Bush said:

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

Sure it was probably a slip of the tongue, but most such slips are grounded in reality.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not defending the statement, obviously it was a poor choice of words.

That being said, "Bush Admits Harming America" is a pure lie.

Based on that quote, Bush never admitted harming anyone or anything.

"They never stop thinking about new ways to harm...", along with "and neither do we." Nobody is actually DOING any harming, they are thinking about it.

If your post was titled "Bush Admits THINKING About Harming America", you might have a case. But instead, your post is just a lie.

If your going to pick on the guy, there's plenty of material that is good enough as it is. It should be shooting fish in a barrel, but you seem to be having some trouble with it.

Edit: Since it is a clear distortion of the truth, I was going to report it to the moderators... oh hell, what's the use.

Well, you've got 2 left, so I guess you're in the clear.

There is also a difference between making a typo and making a grammatical/logical non sequitor.

I think the original poster was making the point that the President should be held to a higher standard. Since the original poster was not the President, or for that matter an elected official, he is not caught in any logical trap himself.

Its not my job not to make typos.

Is it yours to be pedantic and/or posit flimsy diversions from the real issue re : is Bush a moron?

My english skills are hardly relevant to the above are they.

My guess is that Bush meant that we never stop looking for ways our enemies might attempt to harm America (so that we can take preventive countermeasures). Our enemies are looking for chinks in our armor, and so should we be, if we are to employ a proper defensive strategy.

Chuck,

I made a minor slip of the toungue, obviously my actions as President are more important than how slick a speaker I am.

Lets get back to important things, like the proper use of corn.

Sure, he obviously meant that or something similar. That doesn't excuse the sloppy wording. The leader of the free world should not make ambiguous statements (unless that is the point of the statement of course.)

I guess that rules out Kerry:

Why do you make them so often?

Do you still believe the following?

Quote

"There is no french word for entrepreneur"

End quote.

Re: Chuck, You\'re [sic] Post Is A Lie

I'm by no means a Bush partisan (or a Kerry one), but do you really want to give a pass for intentional ambiguity in favor of unintentional? I mean, what Bush said was a slip of the tongue (albeit a common one). The typical political double-speak is used to avoid responsibility. The latter is certainly the greater evil.
